BAI has been involved in design or provided engineering or consulting
services to numerous drinking water projects.
The objective of ozone treatment in these projects was: taste
and odor control, disinfection, pesticide removal, removal of
dissolved organics and control of disinfection byproducts (DBP-s
including THM-s). Some examples are:
Celina, OH, a Conventional WTP with lime softening. BAI designed
and supervised the construction of ozone system retrofit and other
plant improvements for taste and odor control and disinfection
as the engineering contractor to the city. The treatment system
includes two stage advanced oxidation process, AOP, treatment
with ozone - hydrogen peroxide and optional primary disinfection
with ozone. The start-up took place in January 1996.
Background information on the other BAI projects will be provided
on request.
